Shadow of the Day

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

The weather is different today. The heat of summer has passed. I'm still in my shorts and shirt, but my heart now longs for a change.

I slept well last night. And that doesn't mean what it used to mean. It means I was at peace when I slept. I was at peace when I awoke as well.

I close both locks below the window.
I close both blinds and turn away.
Sometimes solutions aren't so simple.
Sometimes goodbye's the only way.
And the sun will set for you,
The sun will set for you.
And the shadow of the day,
Will embrace the world in grey,
And the sun will set for you.
